As from 1 July 2007 virtually all enclosed public places and workplaces in England become smoke-free. This was already the case in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This applies to churches and associated halls and premises. It also includes vehicles.
You need to display no smoking signs and prevent people from smoking in these areas. Anyone who wants to smoke must go outside to do so.
